A week after Miss Idaho rocked an insulin pump during a swimsuit competition, she continues to inspire people all over the world living with Type 1 diabetes with her #showmeyourpump campaign.

Sierra Sandison posted a photo of her pump attached to her bikini bottom on Facebook - the picture has racked up nearly 6,000 'likes' and has been shared more than 3,000 times since.

On July 14, two days after winning the crown, Sandison wrote on her Facebook page: "I would never have dreamt of posting a swimsuit picture on social media, but diabetics from all over the country have been asking to see me and my insulin pump on the #MissIdaho2014 stage.

"Honestly, it is terrifying walking out on stage in a swimsuit, let alone attached to a medical device. My message to everyone, diabetic or not, is that we all have something that doesn't "measure up" to the beauty standards set by the media--and that is okay!"

Below the message, a mother posted a picture of her daughter with the mesage: "This is my daughter norah who proudly wears her pump. Diagnosed at age 2 and pumping ever since . #showmeyourpump"

The #showmeyourpump campaign shows no sign of slowing down.

People continue to post pictures on Twitter of their arms, hips and stomachs to show where they keep their insulin pumps with messages like "I'm proud to show off my insulin pump."
