As hilarious as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey's hosting antics were, we can’t deny that the big draw for this year’s Golden Globes was the killer red-carpet fashion.

In terms of style, Globes might be a little bit lower-stakes than the all-out Oscars. Thankfully, that meant celebrities weren't afraid to get daring, whether through bold colour (Lena Dunham’s canary-yellow dress), unusual tailoring (Emma Watson’s dress-apron hybrid), or va-va-voom volume (Sofia Vergara’s massive black ballgown). With a couple of twists, you can adapt red carpet glamour for your own wardrobe. (Maybe don’t try double-belting a maxi dress a la J-Law, though. We’re not quite sure what was up with that one.)
