Lady Gaga has immortalized fashion icon Donatella Versace in song for her new album ARTPOP.
The musician penned the track Donatella as an ode to her designer pal and gifted it to the 58-year-old at a birthday party she threw for the veteran in May.
The tune opens with the words, "I'm so fab/Check it out", and goes on to include lines such as, "I'm blonde/ I'm skinny/ I'm rich/ And I'm a little bit of a b**ch" - and Versace can't get enough of it.
She tells Elle magazine, "The best present she could give me. I loved it and couldn't stop dancing. I made her play it again and again. The song is insane, over the top, loud and full of energy - everything that I like."
Meanwhile, rapper M.I.A. has teamed up with designers at Versace for a new fashion project.
The singer revealed the news while attending Paris Fashion Week's Balenciaga runway show in France.
She told WWD.com, "I have a collaboration with Versace coming out in two weeks."
M.I.A. failed to provide further details about the joint project, but it is believed to be a line for Versace's diffusion collection Versus, which features work from a number of other artists and designers.
The fashion collaboration will be a welcome distraction for M.I.A. - she is currently embroiled in a nasty legal battle with the NFL, which is suing the star for flipping her middle finger during her televised performance with Madonna at the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show.
