KATRINA TUTTLE

Halifax-based designer Katrina Tuttle’s spring-summer 2010 collection will showcase clothing that combines the structure of hand–pleated bodices and tailored skirts with soft folded details.
A native of Lantz, N.S., Tuttle began designing at age eight, creating faux fur fashion designs fused together with Popsicle stick boning and Velcro.
“My specialty is designing dresses that can make a statement on their own and that can be versatile without losing their wonder," says Tuttle. "My spring collection features classic shapes that flow with linear, feminine details."
Tuttle’s current collection is based on hues of white, pink, blue and grey.
“I plan to communicate my theme on the runway by keeping the setting clean and letting the details speak for themselves,” says Tuttle.
