They say no two brides are alike and no one knows this better than Israeli wedding dress designer Pnina Tornai.

Best known for her creations and appearances on TLC's Say Yes To The Dress, Tornai has been dressing brides from across the world and they all demand something different says the designer. (Yes, that includes us, Canadian girls.)

“My Canadian brides love the corset, they love the beaded dresses and the sparkle. They buy the ball gowns, but they also love the A-line and lace,” said Tornai who made her first visit to Canada recently.

“On my Facebook page, women reach out to me in languages I don’t understand, but it’s all with love and it means a lot to me.”

With about 60 of her designs to be carried at the new Kleinfeld Hudson's Bay, opening May 1, and the only location in Canada, brides can get Tornai's classic corset, beading and her authentic, personal touch.

Tornai who flies from Tel Aviv to New York for two weeks each month to meet with brides at Kleinfeld’s says the meetings fuel her creativity.

“Working with brides from around the world tells me what to do next,” Tornai says.

“The beauty of being able to connect with so many different people and so many different cultures, the possibilities are endless.”

It is also what inspired her to create two new collections: A destination bridal line, as well as sari-inspired dresses, which meet the demand of her diverse brides North of the border and beyond.

Tornai’s commitment to her brides’ happiness is endless, even when it comes to unique requests.

“I had a bride who wanted me to create a dress with a bird nest; she said “I’m going to bring you a real nest with eggs in it.”

“I made it, it’s what she wanted so who was I to say no?”
