If you've ever clicked with someone on a flight and wanted to keep the connection alive but were shy to ask them for their contact information, help is here.

WeMetOnAPlane is an app that'll help you reconnect with the person.

Using your flight number, year, month, date, origin or destination, the app's "search algorithm will display search results of all stories from that specific flight that have been shared by other passengers," Will Scully-Power, the brainchild behind the recently launched app, said in a statement.

"Recognize a story? Simply post a reply to their story and they will be emailed immediately. Don't recognize any of the stories? Simply click 'Share Your Story' and tell us your story about how you met that special someone. Then share your story via social media including Facebook & Twitter and help us help you find them"

Scully-Power launched the site after meeting his girlfriend on a plane in 2011.

"We already have a number of successful connections with thousands of stories shared from hundreds of countries including the U.S., Australia, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, U.K., Canada, Netherlands, Norway and India," he says.

The free app is available for Apple iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
