Faithful to your spouse? It could depend on the phone in your pocket.
AshleyMadison.com says Blackberry users are far more likely than iPhone users to log onto their infidelity website.
The company released some eyebrow raising findings on what type of smartphone user is cheating on the go. BlackBerry also has a larger market share than iPhone.
Noel Biderman, president of AshleyMadison.com, says across Canada there are more Blackberry users logging onto his sinful website and they’re logging on more frequently than those with iPhones.
“Almost three times a day!” Biderman said. “We were kind of blown away by Blackberry users.”
According to AshleyMadison.com, 37,349 members in Canada accessed the website via their smartphone in the last month.
While he wasn’t surprised Blackberry users are logging on more, Biderman says he’s not sure if it is because Blackberry users are from the demographic more likely to cheat or if the security features are more appealing to someone stepping out.
“Nothing really shocks me anymore,” Biderman said.
But one thing did surprise even the founder of AshleyMadison.com and that was the peak mobile log in times came presumably when spouses would be home for the night, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
“That one got me,” Biderman said. “The later time feels like a time when people would be more home-oriented.”
