LONDON, Ont. -- On the side of good: half-man, half-condom Captain Condom, the virgin Wonder Vag, the sexually active Power Pap and Willy the Kid, who tries to prove size doesn’t matter.
On the side of evil: the Sperminator, trying to infect everyone.
The battle zone: Sex City.
The latest online game for teens and young adults aims to entertain and educate, though it’s bound to bother some adults as well.
The Middlesex London health unit Thursday launched its cartoon hero game, Adventures in Sex City, to help promote safe sex for those aged 15 and up.
“We wanted to do something a little bit different,” said Shaya Dhinsa, manager of sexual health for the health unit.
“It is a difficult topic to talk about. We hope this makes it more fund and provides sexual health information.”
A player chooses one of four members of the Middlesex London Sex Squad to battle the Sperminator by answering a series of true or false questions.
A wrong answer sends a shot of sperm to the hero. A right answer allows the hero to block the sperm with a condom.
The region’s public board will help promote the game in some classrooms, but the Catholic board has chosen not to, Dhinsa said.
The game can be played at www.getitonlondon.com.
