A British daily quashed rumours that the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant by splashing pictures of her sipping wine with the Duke and enjoying a thrilling jet boat ride in New Zealand in its Sunday edition.
"Tellingly, passengers are advised not to go on the boat rides if they are pregnant, suggesting the Duchess, who also drank wine at a vineyard visit earlier in the day, is not planning another baby just yet, despite a teasing comment from the Duke the previous day," the Daily Mail reported.
A comment by Prince William to a fan during a royal tour of the country had people speculating about whether he and his wife are expecting baby number two.
While chatting with a woman who made a shawl for his son Prince George, reporters covering the tour said Prince William joked, "You might have to make another one soon."
Some of the reporters noted Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, had been spotted drinking water during a toast during the tour, although one reporter noted Kate "rarely drinks."
Richard Palmer, the royal correspondent of the Daily Express in London, tweeted out William's comment, but also said the future king was likely joking.
"I very much doubt she'd come on the tour pregnant, after being so sick before," he said. When pregnant with Prince George, the duchess had severe morning sickness that landed her in the hospital.
The couple's tour of New Zealand and Australia is due to wrap up April 25.
