CALGARY -- If you can't put a price on a good time, this burger should go down easy.

Made with 16 ounces of high-quality waygu beef, seared fois gras, duck confit, black truffle cheese, lettuce, heirloom tomato and served on a brioche bun, this one can be yours at Vagabond Brewery -- for $100.

But the pricy plate has proven to be an appetizing choice among diners at the brew pub, located at 1129 Olympic Way S.E., who say it's worth every penny, bar manager Paul Spooner said.

"If you see the ingredients, basically the idea was to just have the craziest burger that you could possibly imagine to put together," he said. "This is Calgary, people have lots of money, we sell lots of them.

"It's kind of making a statement too."

He said it seems to be mostly men ordering the $100 burger, and though Spooner hasn't tried it yet, it's definitely on his agenda, "without question."

The burger is a creation of chef Dale Neisz.
