Say the words 'topless' and 'beer' to the average guy and chances are high a mischievous smile will cross his face.

There's no nudity in this story but the appropriately named Sly Fox Brewing Company in Pennsylvania has become the first American brewery to use a can which allows you to take its top off.

The 360 Lid is similar to the pull-tab tops of soup cans and, once pulled back, transforms your can into a cup.

"This technology allows the full flavour and aroma of the beer to hit the drinker's senses," Sly Fox’s head brewer Brian O'Reilly told today.com.

But, you're wondering, is there a possibility of cutting your fingers or lips while opening and drinking your beverage?

A spokesperson for Crown Beverage Packaging North America, the company that designed the 360 Lid, says there’s nothing to worry about.

“Once the lid is removed, consumers do not come into contact with any rough edges as they drink from the can,” Brian Thiel told today.com.

According to the site, Sly Fox is offering just one 360 Lid-topped beer across their Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey distribution area: their Helles Golden Lager, a 4.9% ABV German-style beer that has a mild peppery hop profile and a gentle malty finish.
