British TV chef Gordon Ramsay is facing further financial troubles - he's been hit with a lawsuit over an allegedly unpaid wine bill.
The Hell's Kitchen star has seen his business empire suffer in the recent economic downturn and was advised to file for bankruptcy in 2009 because of his spiralling money woes.
Ramsay staved off the debt collectors by pumping $8 million of his own money into his business, but has subsequently been hit with a series of bills and legal issues.
He is now facing legal action from a U.S. wine merchant, Wineberry America LLC, with company bosses accusing Ramsay of failing to settle a $40,900 bill for a shipment of booze that was delivered to his New York eaterie, The London NYC.
The suit names Ramsay, The London NYC and his equity backers the Blackstone Group as defendants, according to Reuters.
Ramsay was recently hit with demands to settle a $250,000 tax bill, as well as a lawsuit from a dairy company over allegations his New York City restaurant failed to pay for a food delivery.
