J&D Foods has a unique mission statement - everything should taste like bacon. And now they've extended that philosophy to include the first food any person ever eats.

Bacon Baby Infant Formula is the latest brainchild of Justin and Dave, the self-described Bacontrepreneurs of J&D Foods, which brought us such delicacies as baconnaise, bacon lip balm, and bacon-flavoured postage Mmmvelopes.

The website, which uses a tongue-in-cheek tone in its product descriptions, says J&D got the idea for Bacon Baby after reading about children's needs for essential fats.

"This got our brains spinning. What about using bacon (which is 65% fat) to deliver these proteins and fats?" reads the product description. "Yet babies are not able to consume this most delicious of meats because they lack teeth and digestive systems that can break down solid foods."

The description goes on to jokingly suggest the formula could have babies walking and talking by the age of four months, enrolling in gymnastics by the age of six months, and memorizing the Declaration of Independence while composing symphonies by the age of two.

"Note that we can't guarantee that your baby will become smarter or more athletic from using this formula, as those particular claims are still undergoing review by the FDA - but we think you'll be pleased," it reads.
