Designer Jules Power’s personal mantra is to enjoy life to its fullest. She believes that a great smile and great colour make people feel good.
Both colour and smiles will make the way down the Jules Power runway as models will be wearing bright shades of red and mustard yellow against neutrals of heathery gray, black and camel.
Models will be asked to be natural, sexy and happy to communicate Power’s theme.
“My brand’s theme is disheveled chic with loads of sex appeal. I want women to watch the show and see outfits that they would love to wear,” says Power.
According to Power, outfits will include basics such as comfy pants, a sexy dress that travels well, and wool jackets.
Lingerie may also make an appearance as the designer feels that corsets are one of her specialties.
“Sweat pants and corsets are my specialties as a designer. My slouch sweat pant sells in stores and online, and I make gorgeous corsets in exquisite antique fabric,” says Power.
Power, a Ryerson School of Fashion grad in 1997, spent the last decade designing for retailers such as Roots Canada, Joe Fresh Style and Danier, before branching out with her own line in 2009.
