Bottling the smell of Niagara Falls
By QMI Agency

Niagara Myst

First pop stars, now tourist attractions. That's right, you can now smell like Lake Eerie no matter where you go with a Niagara Falls perfume.

"I envisioned a water scent. Something really fresh and clean," said Alayna D'Angelo, 23, owner of World Class Fragrance on Fallsview Blvd.

D'Angelo said the fragrance, Niagara Myst, smells like the falls and not the city and doesn't include the scents of dead fish, overheated tourists or cheesy attractions.

"It's like when you go up to the falls and get in close with the mist coming at your face," she said.

Niagara Myst will retail for $44.99 per 100 ml bottle and D'Angelo considers it a unisex fragrance.

This isn't the first location-inspired perfume, others include:

Eau de Pizza Hut - pizza-inspired perfume

Demeter's Fragrance Library - sushi, mildew, Play-Doh

Eau de Stilton - cheese

Flame - Burger King's meat-scented body spray

Dzing! Eau de Toilette - smells of the circus
